Zoeva | Is It Worth It?

A couple of weeks ago I received some goodies from Zoeva in the post. It’s probably the most excited I have ever been about a delivery! I’ve read all the reviews and seen so many bloggers using Zoeva’s brushes and make up, I had to see what the hype was about. So here’s my verdict..

Luxe Prime Brush Set

Before I get in to the real detail about this Zoeva brush set I must pledge my allegiance to the Real Technique brushes which I have been using for years. It was these brushes that taught me the importance of good tools for flawless makeup and, what’s more, they are very affordable. Having said this, my eye brushes from Real Techniques have taken a battering and I thought it was about time to try something new.

The first thing I must mention about the Luxe Prime Set is the softness of the brushes which makes them a dream to blend with. They are made from natural and synthetic bristles which means they are durable with the right care. My favourite brushes are the 234 Smoky Shader brush and the 317 Winged Liner brush. Any brush that blends eyeshadow well will always be a champion for me because it is the key to creating so many eye makeup looks. I also like to change my eye liner brush regularly otherwise the bristles start to separate and I can’t achieve a clean line.

Nude Spectrum Palette

Sometimes I open this palette just to look at the colours. Weird, I know but they look too good to use! There is a mix of matte, satin and shimmer textures in all the shades of brown you could imagine. This is my absolute dream palette as I always wear browns and neutral eyeshadow. My usual eyeshadow go-to is Mac because I’ve found they have a really good pigment with little fallout. Although some of the satin shades aren’t quite as pigmented, the rest of the palette seems to match up to Mac in my opinion. And I really love having the shade options all in one place rather than digging around in my dressing table for individuals.

Luxe Colour Blush

The shade that I am using is called Burning Up. Blush is the one part of makeup I always struggle with. I never know if the colour is right or whether blush on top of contour is too much. But on those days when minimal makeup will do I will be reaching for this product to add subtle dimension to my face.

Photography is insane!! I absolutely adore my Zoeva brushes, I have the eye set and the face set and they are definitely my go to, I rave about them to everybody! I’m yet to try their makeup, but I’ve heard mostly good things and if they’re comparable to MAC, maybe they’re worth investing in.
